The ratio of the proposed loads to the reference home loads shows on the report rounded to the hundredths value (0.98 for example). Because of this, EnergyGauge rounds the ratio and if it is less than or equal to 1.00 it is deemed to pass. So for a few cases you may actually get slightly higher proposed loads than reference home loads, however the rounded ratio will always be 1.00 or less if it shows pass. This software and methodology has been used for the 2010 (where the pass ratio was 0.80), 2014, 2017 and 2020 code cycles. The software has been approved by the Florida Building Commission.
